Project Goal: To increased Cassava productivity and income with high quality of new varieties of Cassava in Gboko Diocese
Project Activities: Activities that were done includes:
- Training of 40 village seeds entrepreneurs who are now good cassava Entrepreneurs today.
- Formation of Caritas cassava Entrepreneurs Cooperative limited whom are given out loans to other farmers in millions today.
- Promotion of different cassava varieties in the 7-local government of our diocese through: Establishment of 40 demonstration plots to showcase the performance of each varieties to our farmers: TME419, TMS98/0505, TMS98/0581, TMS01/1368 and NR 8082 and 30 market days promotion to our local markets in different locations to create awareness to the local farmers.
