About This Project
The Improving Delivery of Assistance and Solutions to Internally Displaced Persons in Benue State (IDEAS Project) aimed at improving the livelihoods of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) across project locations. During this period, 100 IDPs were trained on Modern Agricultural Practices, and improved varieties of maize were distributed to the same number of beneficiaries. Cash transfers of ₦100,000 each were provided to 74 IDPs, while Reintegration and support to 8 voluntary beneficiaries in the host communities. Furthermore, 160 IDPs were trained and empowered in tailoring, bag making, bead making, and soap production to enhance their vocational and income-generating capacities. Water Guards were distributed to 700 households to promote safe water practices. In addition, 16 IDPs were trained on borehole maintenance and repair, and three boreholes were rehabilitated one each in Buruku, Gbinde (Waya-Swande), and Mbaav (Jato-Aka) communities.
