Partnership With Aid To The Church In Need

Caritas Gboko partnered with Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) Internationalis to provide Emergency Food Support for the Homeless in Konshisha Local Government Area.

The project supported 180 IDP households who were affected in the March 2021 Bonta and Igede communal crisis which later escalated to other communities in Konshisha LGA (Gbinde, Agidi, Guleya, Adoka and Gungul) as a result of military attack. The items supported include; Rice, Beans, Dried cassava, Guinea corn, Palm oil, Maggi, Onions, Noodles, Detergents, Washing Soap, and Slippers. All the affected communities were Catholic Communities. The project supported 30 households each from the 6 affected communities.

Partnership With Switzerland Embassy Abuja, 2022

Caritas Gboko Partnered with Switzerland Embassy Abuja in 2022 and Constructed a 10 Bed Capacity Health Facility at Mbaanyia Mbagwaza Community of Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue State in 2022

The project provides access to Healthcare services in Mbaanyia-Mbagwaza community and supports antenatal care, Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission (PMTCT) and antiretroviral treatment adherence in the community. The Health facility has a 10-bed capacity structure which contains; a Consultancy room, Nurses Station, Laboratory, Maternity ward, Male and Female ward, a hall, and 4 toilets. Safe water has also been provided. The health facility has reduced the barriers of accessing health services and at the same time improve the quality of life in Mbagwaza community. This was achieved within 9months.
